Curcumin 95 has recently been validated as an anti-inflammatory agent.
In a newly published human clinical study last month, Curcumin formulation BCM-95 (Curcugreen) by Arjuna Natural Ltd. demonstrates new possibilities for effectively managing the symptoms associated with osteoarthritis of the knee, and even matching the effects of some non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (often used to greatly reduce pain severity). In addition, the subjects in the study did not experience any gastric side effects associated with the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Bcm-95 (Curcugreen) is a patented effective turmeric extract developed by Arjuna. This is the first study to show a significant positive association between curcumin therapy and osteoarthritis therapy. The beneficial results from this study are most likely due to the combination of curcumin compounds and turmeric essential oil. The patented curcumin formulation of BCM-95 contains curcumin, which increases the bioavailability of curcumin. A complex of essential oils rich in curcumin increased the permeability of curcumin and increased plasma curcumin levels by a factor of seven, demonstrating statistically significant clinical benefits.
